While
the Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising & Marketing History at
Duke University is hosting the 13th biennial CHARM, and at least one
evening session will be held at the Hartman Center, the actual site
of the 2007 CHARM conference will be the
Durham Marriott at the Civic Center
in Durham, North Carolina.
Update: The Durham Marriott at the Civic
Center is completely booked for the CHARM Conference for the night
of May 17th. Rooms for other nights are extremely limited as of 17
April.

CHARM attendees can call the Marriott's toll
free number, (800)-909-8375,
to make their own reservations. The rate for sleeping rooms is
$94.00 per
night, single or double occupancy. The hotel’s room rates are
subject to
applicable state and local taxes (currently 13 percent) per room per
night
in effect at the time of check-in. The sleeping room rate will be
offered
three days prior and three days following the dates listed above
based
upon availability. For individuals to receive the established group
rate,
they must identify themselves as members of the CHARM Conference
when
making the reservation. All reservations must be received by the
group’s
cut-off date and guaranteed with a one-night deposit in the form of
a
credit card. After receipt of a guaranteed reservation, upon
request, the
hotel will forward room confirmations to each individual.
Reservations
made after the cut-off date will be subject to the most available
rate.
The cutoff date will be Tuesday, April, 17, 2007. At the
cut-off date,
the hotel will release the unreserved rooms for general sale. Any
reservation received after the cut-off date will be accepted on a
space
and rate available basis
